The Helicopter Company Champions Aviation Diversity at The Future Aviation Forum 2024

Riyadh, 22 May 2024 – The Helicopter Company (THC), a fully owned subsidiary of the Public Investment Fund and the Kingdom's premier commercial helicopter operator, recently participated in the Future Aviation Forum 2024 in Riyadh, further solidifying its role in driving diversification and shaping the future of the aviation industry.

The forum organized by the General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA), took place on May 20 to 22, focusing on the theme: “Elevating Global Connectivity”.  It served as a valuable platform for THC to engage with other regional and global industry leaders, discuss emerging trends, and explore advancements aimed at transforming the aviation sector.

One of the forum’s highlights was the participation of Captain Reem Flimban, a Qimam graduate who became the world’s first female pilot with an Airbus H160-type rating. As a featured panelist in the “Women in Aviation” session, Capitan Reem discussed how the leadership and mentorship received through both the Qimam program and THC have been instrumental in her success.

THC has launched the Qimam Aviation Program, a flagship initiative designed to cultivate Saudi aviation talent. To date, the program has successfully graduated over 100 pilots and technicians. The company is dedicated to supporting the development of young Saudis, playing a key role in fostering local expertise and advancing the country’s Vision 2030 goals.
